9 Contemporary Textile Artists Interpret Karin Bergöö Larsson at Galleri K186 - 8 December 2024

The starting point for the project came from our experience that industrial textiles receive too little attention in the public space, and that female textile craftsmanship is too often undervalued. Our vision is to elevate Karin Bergöö Larsson’s home textiles through the hands of young female textile artists. We aim to highlight the importance of the home in troubled times while also creating a platform for artists at the beginning of their careers. Through this project, we have studied Karin Bergöö Larsson’s home textiles and interpreted them in individual works.
