Konsthantverkliga Lagningar / Craft-Based Repairs
At the turn of February-March, we are presenting the project Konsthantverkliga Lagningar/Craft-Based Repairs at Studio K18—an exhibition accompanied by a workshop.
The project takes its starting point in the sock, a symbol of an everyday garment without second-hand value. We ask ourselves: What should we do with our clothes when buying new is cheaper than repairing? And how can we, as craft artists, inspire others to pick up the needle and start mending? The goal of the exhibition is to showcase a broad variety of repairs rather than focusing on functional and technically flawless craftsmanship.
